11 years ago today, I was in a remote creek location in the Niger Delta region with a team of dedicated and passionate Belgians crew to experience first hand the sad reality of our own youths engaged in illegal crude oil activities.
This exercise as we discovered had more than 3000 locations all scattered in the region. The activities constituted environmental damages and health hazards to the people. Our findings led to recommendations that Modular oil refinery will be our final solution.
Today, the government has approved the licensing of Modular oil refinery to stem this hazardous activities.
The pictures below are clear reminder of the journey so far to restore a better Niger Delta environment.
