In other to fulfill my campaign promise of ensuring steady electricity in all businesses and market areas in Delta State as Governor come 2023, particularly my solemn promise to the Ibo traders in Delta State, I visited Madrid, Spain to have an extensive discussion with Europe’s renown Energy Company called Disace Energia.
We had a round-table meeting in which the company’s international Director did a fantastic presentation in the presence of the company’s CEO and other management staff.
As someone that is very concerned about our environment and ecosystem, the choice of this company is based on their long standing history of green and renewable source of energy production.
My goal is to attract US$26 billion annually in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to Delta State and this will ensure massive job creation among our young population. It will also increase Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through Corporate and Income taxes.
A Delta State Investment Hub will be created in Rotterdam, The Netherlands to ensure massive investment drive to our State. The hub will also promote our agricultural produce for global export. This way, we will generate revenue externally.
This will enable me scrap the overbearing council taxes on our poor market women and youths struggling daily to survive. Also, reduce the tax burden on our tricycle (Keke) owners and operators. Delta State will see a new dawn!
My exposure and international network will ensure that investors do not hesitate to bring their investments to our beloved State despite the negative security challenge and the difficulties in doing business in Nigeria as described by most Western Embassies in Nigeria. An advantage that no other candidates in this election can match.
