Today I had an extensive meeting on areas of collaboration which centers on democratic and political engagement/training with the foremost Dutch politician and former Member of the Dutch Parliament, Mr. Harry van Bommel.
Harry van Bommel is a Dutch politician, anti-globalisation activist and former educator. As a member of the Socialist Party, he was a Dutch Member of Parliament from May 1998 to March 2017. He focused on matters of foreign policy and the European Union.
Very soon I will be working with the High-profile former Foreign Spokesperson for the SP in the House of Representatives, who engaged in debates about peace missions and European affairs with great verve.
Showed strong commitment to developments in the Middle East and championed the Palestinian cause. In 2005 he also played a prominent role in the resistance against the European Constitution and advocated an investigation into Dutch support for the American invasion of Iraq.
It is time to bring his wealth of Foreign Affairs and global development expertise to Nigeria. It will be a great honor and privilege to work together with Mr. Bommel on our next immediate task.
